Style de Vie was one of the six companies chosen at the show for the Winter 2010 Blogger’s award!

Winter 2010 Accent on Design® Bloggers’ Choice Awards

Bloggers Choice Awards
Bloggers selected one product from 200+ companies participating in the juried Accent on Design, which, in their estimation, was most representative of the “next big thing.” Urgent, odd and delightful design were among key criteria considered by the judges.

Habitually Chic’s Heather Clawson:
Style de Vie

“Style de Vie’s booth at the NYIGF made me stop in my tracks! The table was piled high with vintage blueprints and French school posters while the back wall was filled with framed vintage art. The maritime blueprints and nautical charts were my favorites. I’d love to be able to spend time trolling flea markets and tag sales for unique art for my clients but when I can’t, I’m going to turn to Style de Vie to do it for me!”

I must have been tired as i missed quite a few of the products you featured. It is too bad that the Paris Shows and the NY shows are back to back. I guess i was in Show overdose.. thanks for such a great comprehensive post.

This was, hands down, my favorite booth as well! I completely happened upon it and was instantly in love! The vintage prints were just exceptional, and would make a great wall display in any home. I’m sooo happy to see you feature this vendor!

Thanks for the resource!

An excerpt of the NYIGF Newsletter (NYNOW), recaping the 2010 Winter show:

d
“It’s starting to feel like the good old days again.” Yes, Cara from VIETRI®, we hear you.  The winter edition of NYIGF was busy, bustling, and upbeat. A double-digit increase in attendance over last winter meant that 35,000 retailers traveled to New York, from all 50 states and 85 different countries.Attendance by all major retailers – including leading specialty retailers – from all channels of distribution, brought a noticeable energy to the market.  The mood was reminiscent of 2008, with exhibiting companies meeting or exceeding totals from that banner year.Underpinning it all was the world of social media. The new NYIGF website, Facebook, Twitter and the blogosphere provided an online community to meet, greet, and foster relationships long before the first pallets were unloaded at Javits. The camaraderie created collaboration which kicked into high gear on the show floor.
